Wurd up…
So, what’s this all about? Well, the premise of this site is really quite simple. It is an opportunity to discuss relevant issues in the workplace where we believe that we have been targeted. This started as a resource for Managers because they are always in someones crosshairs…employees disgruntled about schedules, bosses looking for higher productivity, peers competing for promotions, employees who are trouble makers, peers who sabotage one another, vendors raising prices, blah, blah, blah. All of it puts a heavy burden on Managers and many people don’t realize it.
So, I wanted a site where we could discuss those problems, look for solutions, allow people to vent and maybe even poke at one another. After all, you can’t vent on anyone at work. Employees don’t want to hear about problems from “da man”, peers will use it against you later, employers will just put it on your annual review (and possibly fire you) and HR most often rides the fence (they invented Hotlines, 360 reviews, open door policies, etc). Your friends and family don’t want to hear about your work strains and they probably wouldn’t understand anyway. But, alas, I am here for you….kinda.
I have never been a publisher, counselor or even owned a website until now. This is all a “work in process” and I want your feedback. So, some things may change as we grow. But, voodoomanager.com v2.6.1 realizes that we all need a place to vent about workplace issues. Granted, I will probably still focus on Managers, but shouldn’t everyone in the workplace employees have a say? Shouldn’t they be able to present their perspective on a Managers problems since they may be growing into a similar role? Or, you might learn from reports that you are taking this crap too seriously. Please comment, comment often and provide feedback. Oh, but be wary about posting specifics that might link you to your employer. When it’s funny, let’s laugh. When it’s serious, let’s help.
